We’ve Gone Mobile!

We want to let you in on a little secret. Are you ready for it? REALLY ready for it?  This week at the Bassmaster Classic and Miami International Boat Show, we will be unveiling our newest accomplishment: a fully integrated, user-friendly mobile version of our website!

Now, users like you will have instant on-the-go access to tips and tricks, licensing information, emergency protocol information, fish species identifiers and even our amazing Hotspots Map!  In the mobile version of our site, the Hotspots Map acts just like a handy app, but you don’t have to download a thing! Just type in your location or let your mobile device’s GPS find where you are, and the mobile site will automatically deliver the nearest parks, bodies of water, top fishing spots, campgrounds and more.  Once you’ve found one (or two, or three) that you like, you can save it to your favorites for quick and easy future access.

The Take Me Fishing Boat Ramp App is a perfect mobile complement to the Hotspots Map. Available on iTunes and in the Droid Market, the FREE app allows users to search an impressive database of more than 35,000 launch points by city or zip code and even offers turn-by-turn directions. We’ve got to brag that the Boat Ramp Mobile App was just awarded an Honorable Mention at the NMMA Innovation Awards this week and has already been downloaded by more than 27,000 mobile users.  Are you one of them?
So next time you’re taking a family vacation, making a weekend trip or spending a day out on the water, we’ll  be right in the palm of your hand (or, at least in your back pocket) to help make your trip run smoothly.  Just remember, you can find the mobile site  at  Bookmark it, add it to your mobile favorites, whatever makes it easy.  Just know we’re around – and more accessible than ever before.

See you out on the water!
